The journey to America
for the DiVincent family began on May 31,
1907, when Salvatore DiVincenzo set sail to the United States
from Naples, Italy, arrived on June 14,
1907 at Ellis Island, and settled in Guttenberg, New Jersey. His wife, Josephine and son Arthur (age
4 ) followed him to the United States in 1909. Salvatore and Josephine had a total
of seven children, five boys and two girls. The DiVincenzo family was
originally from Santa Domenica Vittoria in the province of Messina,
Sicily . Here is their story. . . |
